Ron Lace

My interest in art stems from childhood when I would draw characters from my favorite comic books. This interest led me to major in Art at Arkansas State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.

Although I did not pursue an art career, I have maintained a love for and desire to paint throughout my life. Now that I am retired, I am pursuing my creative passion, working primarily in acrylic and painting a variety of subject matter.

To improve my skills, I have taken a Plein Air workshop with Ken DeWaard, and workshops with accomplished oil painter Roger Dale Brown and with water colorist Leslie Frontz.

I have received a number of awards in both juried and non-juried shows.  One of my acrylic paintings was selected for publication in the first edition of North Light’s new book series “AcrylicWorks-The Best of Acrylic Painting” published in 2014.

My work is represented in private collections in Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
